FACES is a customer of Colorado Nonprofit Insurance Agency and has been serving families with young children in the metro Denver area since 1974. Debora feels that Colorado Nonprofit Insurance Agency is an important member benefit of the Colorado Nonprofit Association and that it provides a valuable service to organizations state-wide. She will provide important customer input to the Board.
Robert S. Goldstein, Attorney at Law, Polsinelli Shughart PC, joined the Board in January, 2007. He currently serves as Secretary. He specializes in corporate and real estate transactions. Rob frequently acts in the role of an “outside” general counsel, representing his clients in all aspects of business ownership, including formation, acquisition, operation and disposition. Rob brings to the Board a wealth of experience providing practical business advice.
John Nagy, Vice President of Finance & Administrative Services for Dumb Friends League, joined the board in 2009. He currently serves as Treasurer. He has worked for Dumb Friends League for 17 years and manages finance, technology systems, volunteer systems and the human resources department. He purchases insurance coverage for the organization so he has a “customer perspective.” John is also a member and past President of the Society of Animal Welfare Administrators, a national organization of senior level management in the animal care and control field in the USA, Canada and Australia.
Janet Byrne, CPA, Financial Management, Pinnacol Assurance. She joined the Board in 2005. Janet has a strong financial analysis, accounting and regulatory compliance background. Previously, she served as the Deputy Commissioner of Finance and Administration at the Colorado Division of Insurance. Janet has been very helpful with setting financial goals and benchmarks for the Agency. She understands the balance between for-profit and nonprofit issues for our type of insurance agency.
Richard Johnson, President, Benefits & Incentives Group (BIG), joined the Board in January, 2006. Rich began his career with Northwestern National Life in the group department. A few years later, he joined one of the large benefits brokers in Denver and became a Senior Vice President before leaving to start his own firm. During the past fifteen years, BIG has become recognized as a leader in the benefits consulting field. Rich worked with the founder of CANPO to develop benefit insurance programs for members. Those programs were the foundation for building Colorado Nonprofit Insurance Agency. We welcome Rich’s experience in the industry and his long-standing knowledge of Colorado Nonprofit Association.
Greg Reents, Corporate Compliance, Pinnacol Assurance. Greg joined the Board in January, 2011. With nearly 20 years of experience, Greg has a strong insurance regulatory and compliance background. Prior to arriving at Pinnacol Assurance in 2001, he served as a Market Conduct Examiner at the Colorado Division of Insurance. He understands the need to successfully navigate through regulatory oversight and ever-changing marketplace conditions.
